Marija and Shadowstalk to play at the 2^nd Annual Eligeo IT Ball Hockey Tournament Fundraiser

CALGARY, AB – August 9, 2011 – The local indie band Marija and Shadowstalk has agreed to play two 40 minute sets at the 2^nd Annual Eligeo IT Ball Hockey Tournament fundraiser for KidSport Calgary and Scouts Canada Chinook Council on September 10^th, 2011.

“We, Marija and Shadowstalk, agreed to do this fundraiser for many reasons, one of which is the love of sports and believing in giving all children the resources and opportunities to be involved in sports. Sports keep our youth active, healthy, and aids in self-confidence! Of course, we also love our home sport of ‘Hockey’!” says the band via their endorsement letter for the event.

The band will be providing the entire sound system and will also be represented by a total of 6 musicians during the lunch time period on September 10^th, 2011.

“This tournament is about community coming together,” says Derek Major, CEO of Eligeo Information Technology and lead organizer, “We are absolutely thrilled that Marija and Shadowstalk will be joining us at the 2^nd Annual Eligeo IT Ball Hockey Tournament here in Calgary.”

The 2^nd Annual Eligeo IT Ball Hockey Tournament is an event that helps raise money for organizations that are working to keep kids active and healthy while also bringing together many community organizations.
